The My Private Brand Virtual Sustainability Summit kicks off in 10 days and today we are excited to announce the final agenda for our groundbreaking live online event.

This October 15th at the My Private Brand Sustainability Summit, some of the biggest names in private brand will be offering insight and inspiration into tackling sustainability. The summit will feature retail executives and the most influential sustainability leaders for a unique look into the pressing challenges, emerging trends, and significant opportunities sustainability presents for private brands.

More than a dozen speakers will address the Summit themes: Sustainable Packaging, Ethical/Equitable Sourcing, and Authentic Marketing – telling the story. 

The format will include keynote presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions, and moderated round tables. The roundtables are interactive sessions for exploring critical issues. Each discussion is moderated by an industry leader who facilitates substantive discussion. Ten people may speak at a time and 500 people may attend each round table.

Ending Period Plastic – a Conversation with Environmentalist Ella Daish

Ella Daish, Environmentalist

British activist and environmentalist Ella Daish will sit down with My Private Brand’s Christopher Durham to discuss her award-winning campaign to eliminate all plastic from menstrual products. The campaign calls on supermarkets and manufacturers to remove plastic from their period products. Ella is influencing the industry to make real changes and governments and councils to spend their period poverty funding on eco-friendly products.

The campaign has resulted in UK retailers Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Superdrug stopping the production of their private brand plastic tampon applicators, which collectively saves over 17 tons of plastic annually. Lil-Lets, Superdrug, and Morrisons have reacted to the campaign by launching and developing their own eco-friendly ranges.
